Hello, my name is Antonia Hammermann. I am a graphic designer based in Graz, Austria. As part of my master thesis, I wanted to learn more about creativity. Specifically about how we can tear down inner boundaries keeping us from getting our work done by using social media.
My goal is to create a little guide on how to kick start our creativity, finding helpful tools and ideas in a social media context.
Like I said the main topic is about creativity in times of social media. Basically, the discussion about whether social media distracts us and keeps us away from our creativity or if it could actually be kind of a „tool“ used to kick start it. Besides reading about tons of strategies on „how to be creative“ that I would like to implicate in my use of social media later, I thought I could also start by applying the most basic way of using social media to kickstart my creativity that I could think of. Participating in Instagram challenges and see where it takes me.
So this blog is about my experiences and the knowledge I hope to gain trying to find ways to use social media to get my creativity flowing. I think of it as kind of a diary keeping track of my journey. I hope you enjoy reading it and I would be really happy for input, recommendations and opinions of any kind. Thank you for reading.
